Our Children's Ministry
Children are important to us here at New Springs. Not only do we believe they are the church of the future, we passionately believe they are very much part of the church today! Our children's ministry is growing and varied.
On Sunday mornings we have Kidz City which is the name give to our Sunday School ministry. It is an exciting, fun-filled faith programme that is geared up for all children between the ages of 4-12. Kidz City meets at the same time as our morning worship service takes place. In fact, for the first 30 minutes or so, the children meet with us in the main service before they go off to Kidz City with our dedicated children's team.
We also have a crèche for babies and toddlers up to the age of 4.
Out of Schools Childcare
We also run an Ofsted registered out of schools childcare programme each school term day. Childcare runs after school from 3.15 pm to 6 pm. We actually pick up children from half a dozen or more schools in the town. There is even an option of providing meals for the children which parents can chose if they so desire. Parents, guardians or carers pick up their children any time before 6 pm. The childcare programme is for children between the ages of 5 - 14 years. It operates from Rendell Street Primary School in Loughborough. Our qualified childcare staff are all CRB police checked and totally dedicated to providing the best possible out of schools childcare at an affordable price. For more information about this childcare programme call 01509 211194.
School Holiday Childcare
To complement our out of school childcare programme we also operate an Ofsted registered childcare programme during the school holidays. All the major holidays are covered - Easter, Summer, Christmas as well as Half Terms. Once again located at the Rendell Street Primary School it runs from 8.15 am in the morning through to 6 pm in the evening. There is a varied programme and all children between the ages of 5-14 are well catered for including going on various trips.
We see both our Ofsted registered childcare programmes as very much a part of our children's ministry and community outreach. For more information concerning our school holiday childcare programme call 01509 211194 where one of our qualified staff will be pleased to help you.
During the summer we also run a fantastic camp for children known as Camp Supreme. It is a camp for all between the ages of 8 - 14. It runs for two weeks in August as a non-residential day camp from 9.15 am in the morning through to 5.30 pm.
Camp Supreme operates with various streams that cover sport, music, the arts and mechanics. The rumour is other streams will be added giving an even greater variety for the camp. As well as the various streams there are team challenges, a fun morning briefing, and a multi-media hour at the end of each day. There are also fantastic prizes, medals and trophies to be won. There is no doubt that Camp Supreme is gaining a reputation for being the best summer camp in the East Midlands and one thing's for sure it is most definitely value for money. There are over 200 volunteers and leaders that help run the camp. Each stream is run by professional coaches in their own particular fields. It is not unusual to have between 200 - 250 children at the camp.
Camp Supreme is undoubtedly a major plank in our overall children's ministry and strategy.
