Home from Home - A Real International Flavour

Of course, the church of Jesus Christ transcends all geographical regions and cultural boundaries. With this in mind New Springs actively seeks fellowship and welcomes everyone no matter where they might come from in the world.
In fact, almost 40% of all people who worship at New Springs are not English. We have people who meet with us from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, to name just a few of the countries represented.
So it really doesn't matter who you are or where in the world you are from, you will always receive a warm welcome at New Springs. Nothing would please us more than to see within our congregation people from every continent, tribe and nation - sort of a little bit of Heaven on earth! We even have our own African and Chinese fellowships and we regularly have international meals and social events just to make those from abroad feel more at home.
What's more, we have links with churches and ministries all over the world. And not only do we have a desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in Loughborough and the surrounding areas of Charnwood, our visions extends to our nation, and indeed to the very ends of the earth. Over the last decade we have sent mission teams to many places both home and abroad. For example - Sunderland, Stoke on Trent, and Morocco in North Africa as well as other folk from the church having been on fact-finding missions to South Africa, America, and Colombia.
The town of Loughborough and the Borough of Charnwood is a thriving, multi-national centre nowadays drawing people from a plethora of nations. Different colours, cultures, languages and backgrounds are all very much a part of the fabric of this strategically located place.

With its many international groups living in the town and of course with great numbers of people travelling from literally all over the globe to study and do research at the university, its international status is ever growing.
With many people from overseas, home, family and friends can seem a million miles away. This is why we like to be known as an international church. We want to welcome everyone and do our very best to create a church community where people really can feel is home from home.
