History

How it all began @ New Springs
It was at the beginning of 1997 that Pastors Phil and Helen Weaver, and a small band of ministry pioneers, sensed that God was leading them to start a new church and ministry in the county of Leicestershire - based in the University town of Loughborough.
It was in March of that year that New Springs went public by planting and establishing a local church. The first public meeting was held in the Charnwood Suite of the Jarvis Kings Head Hotel situated on the High Street (now known as the Ramada Jarvis). So New Springs International Christian Church was born with just a handful or two in attendance.
It was from this small base that both our local and national ministries grew and developed.
A decade or more on - New Springs is a thriving and growing church with a particular interest in community and social enterprise.
Phil and Helen Weaver continue to this day spearheading the work at New Springs. For the first five years they were ably assisted by Americans Pastor Garry and Jeanann Miller, who have now returned to the States to minister to students in Florida.
More recently, we have added to our ministry team and the Weavers have the pleasure of working alongside Pastor David and Alison Holmes as well as several elders.
