You may never have invited Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Saviour, but you are now ready to do this.
The Bible tells us that God will make us His children and give us eternal life when we receive Him into our heart through faith. Look it up for yourself in the Bible in John 1:12-13, John 6:47 and Revelation 3:20.
We receive Him into our lives through invitation. He would never dream of gate crashing your life – you must invite Him. You can do that by saying this simple sinner’s prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, I know I have sinned in my thoughts, words and actions. I have lived my life selfishly and without you. There are so many good things I have not done and there are so many sinful things I have done. I confess where you are concerned I’ve missed the mark and I am sorry for my sins and I turn from my selfishness and everything I know to be wrong. You gave your life upon the cross for me. Gratefully I give my life back to you.
Now I ask you to come into my life, come in as my Saviour to cleanse me, come in as my Lord to control me, come in as my friend to be with me, and from this day on I will begin to serve, follow and obey you all the days of my life.
Thank you for coming into my life, and that you now live in me by your Holy Spirit. Amen
